Test intent

Prove the machine on a simple DC TIG baseline before chasing pulse, stick, or remote branches.
Separate torch, gas, and remote false faults from HF-start or control-state faults.
Confirm the fitted machine version matches the local HF or no-HF notes before deeper repair.

If it fails

No TIG start with healthy gas: stay in torch, version, and HF branch first.
Gas instability: stay in regulator, hose, and torch-front-end branch.
DC TIG healthy but pulse or optional controls fail: stay in setup or control-accessory branch.
Stick healthy but TIG dead: keep the diagnosis in the TIG-only branch.
Complaint follows one control branch: stop before board work and keep the diagnosis external.
