Failure patterns and repair logic

1. No power / dead machine

  1. Verify actual input voltage and remove questionable extension-cord arrangements.
  2. Inspect plug, cord, and visible external damage.
  3. If the unit is dead on verified input, escalate.

2. Powers up but no plasma output

  1. Confirm ready state with clean, dry air.
  2. Reseat the consumable stack and inspect retaining-cap tightness.
  3. Clamp to clean parent metal and inspect the work-return path.
  4. If ready state is normal but there is still no output, escalate after torch and air checks.

3. Start or transfer problem

  1. Separate no-pilot from no-transfer behavior.
  2. If pilot exists but transfer fails, inspect clamp location and coated work surfaces first.
  3. If pilot is absent, keep the first branch in air readiness, consumable seating, and source quality.
