Thermal And Airflow Shutdown Matrix

This annex is for complaints that appear only after warm-up, repeated load, or restricted airflow.

Use it with:

Core rule

If the machine behaves normally cold and poorly hot, separate thermal behavior from setup and accessory behavior immediately.

Symptom matrix

Symptom Likely thermal branch High-value first move
Machine runs cold, faults hot blocked airflow, duty-cycle overload, cooling-fan issue cool machine, inspect airflow path, retest from cold baseline
Fan alert or thermal message contamination, failed fan, sensor issue, overload inspect fan operation and ventilation first
Plasma shuts down after repeated cuts airflow restriction, compressor/air heat, duty use let machine cool and verify air and ventilation path
Engine-driven output degrades with heat engine cooling, load management, heated output path isolate load and inspect hot connectors and airflow

Airflow checklist

  1. Inspect inlet and outlet vents for blockage.
  2. Remove dust or contamination using appropriate low-pressure dry air.
  3. Confirm cooling fans actually run during operation and cooldown where applicable.
  4. Compare the complaint against duty-cycle and ambient-temperature conditions.
