M185 Board Opening Map

This is the fast internal opening map for M185 once the torch, tip, current-path, source, and inductance branches are already bounded.

Open Only After Proving

the torch path is already clean or clearly ruled out
the no-feed and display behavior are already captured together
current-path hardware is not the whole complaint
the machine is on a real 208/230 V source with the breaker path matched to the intended proof level
inductance has already been returned to a sane known-good baseline
preset-versus-actual display behavior has been observed at least once on a real weld attempt

Do not split display and no-feed complaints too early. The M185 workbook sheet keeps them together first.
Use the M185 exploded-view workbook (.xls) before assuming a missing or wrong assembly is electronic.
Keep the torch path outside the chassis until a known-good torch baseline is proven.
Keep the complaint outside the chassis until preset-versus-actual display behavior is observed once on a real weld.
Do not open the machine before the source path matches the manual 40 A normal or 50 A time-delay rated-output guidance.
Do not open the machine before retesting with inductance returned to a sane baseline if starts or arc feel changed after panel adjustment.
Do not split into separate feed and display faults until the shared no-feed plus bad-display branch is disproven.

If the opening pass shows the complaint still follows the torch or tip branch, leave the board path and use the official ordering flow instead.
